We shoved off at 7:25 after a good 30 minutes of loading supplies, tanks, etc. We had plenty to drink, plenty of ice, and had Tim’s special chicken wraps, he wanted to make Bugcatcher jealous. With 5 of us on board, we set on those secret numbers no one has @ 25 to 30 miles out. First stop was 85 ft. We put the fishing lines out and all we were pulling up were the BSB. We placed a number of them in the box. We decided to pick up lines and headed farther out to make that first dive of the day.
We arrived at the 95 ft mark with the sonar showing some good features and action. The top side group set lines out again while the divers geared up. They were catching the BSB the whole time it took us the 15 minutes to get ready. The 25 minute dive yielded a decent lobster and one that would not come out of a difficult hole. The viz was 25 feet or better.
The second dive was the same viz of 25 feet but had 2 nice lobsters and good hogfish with Rob showing me how its done.
The third and final dive of 105 ft yielded 2 nice gags and a decent scamp. The viz was a little less but just enough to collect on the grouper. We found on this spot where all the endangered ARS are located. We may have to make a return trip in a few weeks. You will see a number of ARS in the video. Also, pay attention to all the BSB that we have already made quota on this year.

Many thanks to Quincy, Ben, Tim, and Rob for the great trip. Rob showed me a few things I can take from the trip. I am still a “newbie” and it was great to learn from someone with loads of experience. I might try to teach him a few things about deer hunting this year.
I will have to work on my 6 pack to catch up with Rob.

This lobster fed my family of 4 tonight
