DNR at Beaufort Water Fesitval

he made sure to tell the officer that he would take any test that he would like , but he was not going to pay for anything. So doe the tax dollars pay for these crazy test, or is there any consequences for a mistake made by DNR,

URINE TEST RESULTS ARE IN:

Acohol Content - 0%
THC Content - 0%
Cocaine/Amphetymenes, etc. - 0%

However, they did find traces of Guaifenesin (over the counter Mucinex and Robitussin). DNR is reportedly going to continue to pursue the case according to their lead prosecutor “because this is an often abused over-the-counter drug”. Can ANYBODY find any rationale into why our state TAX DOLLARS are being used to furhter exacerbate DNR’s mistake? One more black eye on a government agency who already has too much power. All of this because the two GW’s from Dillon County “had never seen a boat like this before”, and pulled him over for a Nazi-esque safety check. John Frampton must be proud. What a disgrace.

I wish there was a penalty for being a LEO that is an prick, or a LEO that is a dumbazz and doesn’t know what kind of fish he is checking me for, or that the sturgeon jumping around the boat in fresh water are NOT tarpon.

The problem is that I feel like they are out to get "us", not support "us". "Us being law abiding citizens."

I admit I have a tainted opinion and that a few bad apples spoil the bunch.

Didn’t someone mention something about apologizing earlier in this thread? I think it would be difficult for anyone to be “tipped off” by trace amounts of Robitussin.

This looks like the CYA portion of DNR operations at Water Festival. Put me on the jury…please!

Thanks for the update. I spoke with some of my friends who knew the DNR officer as a teenager. They just laugh and hope that he gets fired. Apparently his pompous attitude/demeanor as a high school kid has increased over the years. From what I can gather anything someone else had or did , he had a better one or was the best at it.

my signature says it all. can i volunteer for that jury?

OUR GOVERNMENT HAS BECOME THE ENEMY OF FREEDOM.

i am stealing your signature…

maybe make some decals for the side of my boat…

Put me on the civil jury when this guy sues DNR and Officer D-Bag for malicious prosecution

Heck, if he goes that route, go for loss of consortium as well. It was water festival after all. I’m guessing he had a plan for the evening.

I just heard from a friend in NC who has been a professional boat captain since age 19. (He’s 45 now).He was one of the classmates of the DNR "officer"involved. He said that if ,indeed, that the name of aforementioned officer is the same guy,he almost got thrown out of the USCG for similar incidents and inability to get along with his crew mates. Just heresay, but an interesting aside.

Some on here say they know the DNR officer. Does anyone have a name?

Excuses? I’ve heard them all!

The officer was Thompson, from Dillon County. Think his name is Andrew.

Thanks for the test results. I can’t see this going to court, except for the captain getting his attorney cost paid. The good guy should win in this case. At least I hope so!

We have to fight bs like this, if you roll over they win. I would move there to be on the jury!

If the officer was Thompson, he is not the subject of my associates’ dislike. We were under the impression that officer Frampton was the DNR officer in question. Of course that still does not disregard the aforementioned as a total rectum when he was a teenager or as a DNR officer. Happily I Can report I have never had a bad meeting with the DNR.
