DNR gps to Garmin

ok I give, how do you transfer the coordinates from DNR’s website to your Garmin? reefs etc…

I formatted the SD card like you’re supposed to, put it in my 541s and turned it on n all went well… then installed the chrome add on on my pc and downloaded the gps coor’s from scdnr onto the SD card

I have nadda for info on the card, so I tried downloading onto my pc… still can’t read it

converted it to an excel and I can read it, but that doesn’t help me transfer it onto my Garmin

stuck the card in the 541 to transfer data and it shows I have none

what am I missing? help and thanks!!

'bout time

send me your email address and I will email you the file you need for Garmin.

sent Two Sons, thanks man!

Won’t work if you just give the file a name and save to an SD card. I had trouble with a 545s until I used Mapsource to save it to a ‘userdata’ file which was put there by the GPS unit. It’s a " .adm" file extension …

ok thanks Reelly, I’ll try

nothing from you yet Two Sons…

we went out to 4Ki today, caught a couple of spades and came back in

a bit rough getting out there through the inlet in my little Sea Hunt Triton 177, they called for 2/3ft at 6 secs with a SE 10/15kt but it sure looked a lot worse than that!

'bout time

I fished today but will email you the file in the morning from my office so you can see how it works

we went to 4Ki, spades are thick out there…

Email sent.

you have to save it on this highest level of your card. You can not save under a folder. ON the garmin software on your computer save it to the highest level it should read something like GPS541_userdata
