DNR surf and turf

not sure to put this in reports, but had an interesting experience. I started off hunting this morning and as i was walking out of the woods, a very polite DNR officer checked my license and we were talking a bit.

This afternoon i decide to scope out some new land fishing spots and found one, but i guess it’s not a secret b/c another guy was there catching illegal reds.(at least they looked over the slot from where i was) Luckily DNR shows up and it’s the SAME GUY checking licenses!!! never had that happen before. Either way the other guy didn’t have a license and will probably get fined for over the slot reds. I didn’t stick around to find out.

Good to see them doing a good job Too bad some people get away with breaking the rules. That guy will learn his lesson the hard way. Good job DNR.

If two wrongs don’t make a right, try three.

Always glad to hear when someone gets busted with illegal fish. That sh*t burns me up and as mentioned, it goes on all over the place. Very strange coincedence with the DNR officer, but glad it worked out.

His fine needs to be “over the slot” too. Why can’t people just do what’s right? Just don’t get it.

What is the fine for over the slot? I suggest $500.00 per inch over.

Umm, you gonna eat that?
