Do I just suck, or are things really slow inshore right now?

I think the bite is picking up fast. We were down last week and did well fishing points. Mostly trout. Don’t beat yourself up. Keep after them!

They have been pretty good right now but I also had a below average day today. I hit a spot that regularly produces good numbers of fish and fished hard for 4 hours to go home with 1 flounder. Maybe the front last night screwed the bite for a little while.

Went to the Wando last Wednesday and caught 12 reds,3 trout, and 3 flounder on artificial
I’ve been asking the same question. Cooper River has not been nice to me last 2 weeks
Guns kill people just like spoons made Rosie O’donell fat.
Still debating, but with the exception of J-Dizzle’s tough too weeks, it sounds like I just suck. I fished Saturday very early, later afternoon, and evening - tried topwater, jigs, mud minnow on popping cork, Voodoo Shrimp. No dice!

The trout bite was very light for us…it was hard to tell the difference between bouncing across the oyster bed or the trout. I had to watch my line to see it moving sideways to know when to set the hook.

See my post OOPS… got em early in the mornin
Try the deep holes in creek’s around dock pilings and oyster rakes. Been catching 7-12lb class fish recently with FRESH cut turbo mullet.
I am having the same problem. Was out today in Yellowhouse. Only one small flounder that was not a keeper. Last three trips we haven’t caught one Red in places we usually do very well. Maybe things will change for us shortly.
That’s why its called fishing and not catching ! Some days they’re there some days not. Just enjoy the day and being on the water, you’ll get em!
