When you “EMPTY” your tanks, you mean “EMPTY” right. No old fuel left? Not trying to pi$$ on your post, but how do we know, how fresh the fuel is in the underground tanks. Just asking, Scott
wcarlis, not floridaboy, by any means! although I commend him!!
Guys, Ethanol is bad. For me it ended up being $1200 worth of damages bad. It compleatly F-up my f225 yamy. It damages not only via water, but also acts as detergent and washes all the crap from you tank, hoses, lines into VST and covers injectors with a hardened gum like epoxy.

Czone, sorry to hear about your troubles, but everyone here thinks I’m the dumbass!! I only hope your testament will help others stay away from blended fuel, as best they can!! Seeya, Scott

well you are and you’ve proved it without a doubt. i suppose since 99.9% of the general public uses ethanol, what do you suggest the general public does? walk?
MN - how come people that dont use stabilizer in their vehicles have trouble? according to you the roadsides should be littered with broken down vehicles.
and can you explain to us all why some people have trouble with e10 fues in their boats and others dont? and, i’m talking about myself and lots of others that have never used a stabilizer. i have 800hrs of e10 hours on my motor without a hiccup and never a drop of stabilizer. you know the answer. i’ve told it to you eleventyseven times. i want to see if you caught on yet.

When I get to about 3500 gallons left, I check the market. If it’s going up, I’ll order up. If it’s going down, then I’ll hold off till the next day price change. I don’t let the tanks get below 1000 gals because I don’t want the pumps to suck air and have to reprime. I have to have 10000 gals available capacity for a tanker to drop 9000 gals. Just the rules so you don’t overfill and spill. I only sell conventional gas, never sold ethanol blends although I’m being pushed by BP to sell it. I’ll hold out as long as I can cause I don’t want it in my boat.
Hoppy, F’off, you are an idiot!!
TUNANUT, Keep up the good fight!!
I’ve used ethanol for about 15 years, varying from E4.2 to E95, and I’ve had my fair share of hiccups (and headaches, and had to “pump the tank” a couple of time for that matter) but luckly I don’t think I’ve suffered any lasting damage.

Well, the short answer is that despite the trouble I know I’m gonna have, every time I use ethanol I get smarter, everything is funnier, girls get prettier, football games get more exciting, fish fight harder, I can actually dance, and if anybody picks a fight with me I know I can whip their ■■■■ a$$.

its lol that every time my logic prevails you avoid the question and just attack me personally. that appears weak and makes you look pretty bad.
want to answer my questions now or just insult me again??
congratz
MN - may i ask you advice please? my dear sweet elderly mother doesnt drive much anymore. a tank of gas (e10) lasts her between 1-2 months these days. should i start putting stabilizer in her tank when i go fill her car up??
I was curious what the fuel manufacturer had to say… http://www.chevron.com/products/ourfuels/prodserv/fuels/technical_safety_bulletins/longterm_gasoline.aspx

rebel17, I don’t think it’s good to drink the stuff either! You sound like me, on the losing end of a bottle of Jim Beam.(especially the dancing part) Seeya, Scott
Hoppy, why don’t you try answering some questions for a change. Explain the difference of the storage tanks at the station, and in the boat. We’ve already been told by a dealer the tanks underground are rarely lower than 1/3 full. They “are” vented to outside air, and that BS you posted the last time about the secret of boat tanks being different, was just that BS. Old E-10 is old E-10, no matter which tank it’s in. And I apologize on the personal attacks, but you’re still an Id… No No No, for some reason I think you’re trying to help, just not very informed! Seeya, Scott
scott, as he said the tanks are diaphramed, they dont have a free volume of air coming in that a boat tank does. so what is old e10?
now answer my questions. and try doing so without personally berating me please.
and scott - go back and re-read and tell me when i said it wasnt necessary to use stabilizer. you’re so short sighted and hell bent on what you think is correct you forgot what i’ve advocated all along.
and just 2 more easy questions for you. i believe you keep dodging them. if you can answer them logically i will declare you the winner
1 - how can my outboard have 800 trouble free hours with e10 and it has never seen a single drop of stabilizer?
2 - how come the roadsides and and auto shops dont have broken cars all over them with e10 problems??
just answer those 2 questions logically and you win. you will have beat me
Hoppy, I’ve really enjoyed this debate!! LIVE LONG AND PROSPER, my friend. Flip a coin tonight, “heads” I win, “tails”,you loose! Lets end this before we become, a PITA!! for all interested in the topic!! Seeya, Scott
i understand my friend
i love winning!
