Do sheepheads bite at night? I found a good spot this morning and caught them a couple hours before and after low tide, and I’m thinking about going back and fishing the same tide tonight. I’ve never fished for them at night so curious to know if night fishing for sheeps is a good idea.
My gig has seen several at night ;
I have not done but met a fellow at the landing that mainly fishes the 170 bridge crossing the broad river to target sheep. He only fishes slack low and said he does good at night. . Could have been pulling my leg but he had a cooler of nice sheep. My night fishing is limited to cat fish and bush lines.
If you try, let us know!
Use mussels, clams,oysters for bait
I am fragile.
Not like a flower.
But like a bomb.
Was on a good bite once and continued to catch them into full dark. I believe they rely on both sight and smell a lot, so try it and let us know. Have definitely blundered into a few with tractor bulbs and stainless barbs too…
