Dock Downtown

Is there anywhere to dock that is near the restaurants downtown? I have not been able to find one that you can dock at but thought someone on here may know. Tried to dock at what turned out to be a yacht club and they were less than friendly.

Not sure about “dockside” dining in the Charleston area but I know a “little” further north in the ICW there are plenty of restaurants and bars with docking

Yacht clubs aren’t known for their southern hospitality. Hope you threw’m a wake on the way out…

California Dreaming and Port of Call on the Ashley, the Crab house on Wappoo are restaurants that have docks. Downtown, the city marina will let you dock for an hourly fee and you can eat at the Variety Store at the marina. That’s about it as far as I know. It’s hard to understand that a city like Charleston, surrounded by water, doesn’t have more waterfront/dock side dining.

Charleston Maritime Center has transient dockage and its run by the city. A true “City” Marina.

Charleston City Marina the “MegaDock” . They have transportation that will take you to any restaurant in the city.

Yes it is hard to understand and it’s a shame.

Morgan Creek Grill next to the Isle of Palms marina has free dockage for diners. Shem creek as a couple restaurant/bars with dockage for patrons but it can get pretty crowded.

Port of Call is at Dolphin Cove marina and is pretty much bar food but we ate there one evening and it was pretty good.
