Doe Management

Upstate early bow season hunting. First time in the woods with my bow. Sat Thursday and had two slick heads walk within 30 yards away. Both of them never were comfortable it seemed like. Stood up and drew back and one girl spotted me and they darted off. 30 minutes later 8 more walked to my left at 35 yards. Drew back again and let it fly. Smoked her in the wheel house behind the shoulder. She ran 40 yards and stood in the same spot for a couple minutes. She had me thinking I missed for a second until she tipped over. After the shot all the deer got spooked and another doe ran straight in front of my stand. 25 yards broadside. Ehhh why not! Drew back and smoked her in the shoulder. Ran 20 yards and crashed. Awesome experience. Had both of them on my tailgate at 645. Never thought I would get hooked on bows, but it’s on now. Sat yesterday and a doe walked out at 35-40 yards broadside. Drew back and smoked her. Ran 50 yards and crashed on the side of the field. Team PSE is 3/3 now. Doe management at its finest. Looking for the horns now. Pumped up. Also, the new outdoor side of things for Gimmedat just came out. Please check it out, hats will be ready in the next week or two. Thanks.

I guess you got dat.

Congrats, if I kill three I’m done for the year. I don’t eat more than that in a season.

What did those weigh?

Good luck on the product line and nice shooting.

Little advice if you don’t mind. If you don’t have a rail in front of you, learn to shoot sitting down. It may be the difference when the big boy shows up!!

Nice shots - I sent a PM to you too…

That’s strong. I got to put the rifle down and pick up my bow more.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.
