Does the fishing suck or is it just me???

Over the past 2 months ive tried folly river, stono river, etc…

Does anyone have any advice because I am tired of this slump. If it helps I am flats fishing on my skiff boat. Starting to think I just FLAT out suck as a fisherman…

Burgerbonds, you are probably fishing for information in the wrong forum. When I fish inshore it’s around Beaufort so I can’t help in your area. I’d try posting on the inshore forum, instead of the hunting forum. You may get a bit better response.

One tip, go to the SCDNR web site and they have a pretty good wrap on what’s biting and on what bait in different areas.

Good luck dude.

thanks fred will do! Love the picture by the way!!!

don’t worry about Partner/Ship.Your fishing skills have to be better than his deer hunting skills.

Burger bonds I hear your having a hard time. The winter fishing can make you hate fishing, if you don’t do your homework. There are several different things you should be looking at. Area, Bait, how you present the bait, tide, water temps, pressure, spend sometime on it all. I found it to be the most fun being able to go out find fish, and finding a way to catch them after ive done the work. Then also remember sometime no matter what you do the fish will not eat. I was on 100’s yesterday and could feel them hit my line but would not take the bait. I would love to help you with any answer I can give. My email address is Knotstressedcharters@yahoo.com feel free to send me any questions. I don’t claim to have all the answers, but I have done a lot of homework and willing to pass it on.

Flying No argument there:smiley:

Well Captain I will have to say I’m very impressed with your answer. We don’t get many like this, just the way you you presented yourself to burgerbonds really stands out. If I ever do a charter you my friend would be my choice.

I have fished with captain Danny of Knot stressed many times and he is first class. He will share any info that he has learned over the years. I hate to jinx him or me by saying this, but he will put you on fish every time. What he failed to tell / say in his post was that even with the fish not biting well, 32 fish were boated. I recommend him highly any time of the year. He has many repeat customers which says a lot about his ability. If you want to learn, book a trip with him. It will pay dividends.

Its winter time dude.

I haven’t had a bad trip yet. It must be you.

The only way to not have a bad catching trip is to not go. No such thing as a bad day fishing.
