Fished last week/weekend with a buddy who was in town. Water was hot and his kids wanted to get on some sharks. We went out at around high tide and as the tide began to fall we saw some reds chasing mullet along the grass. We decided to anchor closer to the grass line and a creek mouth to throw some plastics as they ran up and down the bank. We left shark baits out in the channel. We ended up hooking up two nice reds right on the grass and we hooked into a few nice sharks.
Nice pattern on that red.
Forget the fish it is nice seeing responsible Parents and boat owners teach kids safety using a life jacket even with the heat. Wish more people would do it even if their boat is big enough to “not” require their use. I would not have as many bad nightmares from seeing dead kids from boating accidents if more people where like you Hook.
Also found they didn’t like to drink water from the normal deer park bottle. BUT they loved the smart water squirt bottle! So I kept dumping deer park into the smart water bottle and they drank all afternoon!
Thanks for the comment! Love getting the kids out and getting them excited about fishing and the outdoors.
That’s what it’s all about.

Great job Hookem. Get the children and grandchildren hooked on fishing. One of the best things you can do for a child. Keep’s most away from trouble.
That Red has a heck of a pattern. Nice fish and beautiful picture
