My Dad was shot on a Dog Drive in 1980. He was taken to a clinic in Hampton, where he was put on an ambulance, and rushed to Richland County Hospital. Along the way, on hwy. 301 if I remember correctly, the ambulance encountered a pack of Deer Dogs, in hot pursuit of their prey. The ambulance driver missed the Deer. Seven dogs…well, not so lucky. True story!
The yahoos up here shoot down roads all the time… drivers are actually putting a damper on their hunt by traveling on the road. I sure wish they would outlay dog hunting except on HUGE parcels where the dogs cannot get on MY LAND.

You’re talking logical. Doggers don’t want to talk about logic.

Dog hunters have very little woods on thier property next to mine. It is almost all crop fields that have been harvested. They put dogs in on my property line and stand on the other side of my property waiting for dogs to chase deer off my prop onto theirs. I had the Game Warden there last year and he said he could not do anything as long as they were not on my property
Hunting, fishing, and poker are my sports. Work when necessary.
I’d set up some property line cameras!

A neighbor of mine sued a Hunt club for purposely running across his property. Something on the lines of interference with his happiness, I don’t remember exactly how it was worded. But it worked. Club is now still hunt only. He had several pictures (with him in his stand) of dogs running across his property and also pics of dogs he had caught with name tags, and I think the biggest was some game camera pics of a couple of hunters on his property retrieving dogs.
It’s a real Dic move to purposely drive another man’s property without his approval.

You know something we should know about natureboy? And I have hit 3 in the past 2 years (none influenced by hunting of any sort) , as well as put 50k on my company truck running around the country side of SC in farm country, and I can bet there is very little correlation between dog hunting and deer vs. car incidents. Nice try though. I would also bet that without hunters the car vs. deer accident rate would increase tremendously.

Unfortunately this is common practice from hunters running dogs on pieces of property that are not many acres. A friend of mine in Lake City had the same issue. He has about 600 acres that he still hunts, but his neighbor would lease out his 300-400 acre farm to hunters that would run dogs. 300-400 acres is nowhere near the amount of acreage that someone would need to conduct dog drives.
I grew up dog driving, and I loved it and still do. My father and I hunted at a club named Pon Pon in Jacksonboro for many years, until it turned into a
They don’t have 5 acres of woods on the side where they stand. It is naked field.
I own the bedding area.

In a issue like that get DNR involved. Some solid camera proof would go a long way. No need for anyone to do what you are describing. If you have decent cell coverage Verizon has some nice Remote Cameras that send directly to your E’mail. If they see the camera and take it… it’s too late they are on film. Also if you have no cell coverage, they make some with a remote sd card holder. They see the camera and take it but don’t realize it has a hidden sd holder close by.
I know this would get a bit more expensive, but a 4-5’ barrier fence would do a lot to stop dogs.
Also find the land owner of the field and talk with him. Many don’t have a clue how their land is being hunted and just might stop it for you.
The remote camera idea is not a bad idea and Cuddeback makes a setup where several remote cameras send pictures back to one central camera but like Fred said, that gets expensive. It’s a shame a land owner would have to go to such lengths just to keep unwanted people/traffic off of their property but as long as the laws protect the trespasser more than the land owner, it is what it is.
