Left DIM at 430 in the thick fog. Thank the Lord for the radar. Headed to the outcrop. When we got there at 7 it didnt look that great so we kept going trying to find something worth fishing. 15 miles later still nothing, but we decided to throw the lines in and fish in and south. Thirty mins in saw a blue one chasing something 100 yds away, but never could draw his attention. Fished all the way down to the 226 and ended up with 5 dolphin in the box. Stopped on the ledge for a wahoo, and marked some awesome bottom. Decided to drop a butterfly jig in to see what was down there and brought up a 22 inch scamp. Decided we were bottom fishing after that. Caught 6 scamp 22-26 inches and several AJs, all in an hour on butterfly jigs. They wouldn’t touch cut bait. Some of the crew had to be in early, so we had to leave them biting. Back to the dock at 530. Had a blast.
