How is the marina nowadays? From what I can tell, they seem to be the only ones that will do a 6 month lease with a hardtop. Had some dealings with them years ago…some seedy characters around there and the docks were in rough shape.
Thoughts?
My buddy has his boat there and we fish out of it. He doesn’t buy gas there (buys at city marina). Never had any problems so far. Not in the best of town but it does make for some interesting sights at 4am sometimes on the way there. Also I think SkinneJ is still there, if not I know he used to be.
We stored our boat there around 5 yrs ago. Never had a problem. They always had the boat ready to go when we called. They had some young guys working the dock that were always friendly. A friend of our has had his boat there for years and years! In fact, I was talking to him yesterday about Dolphin Cove. He said that they seem to be making small improvements to the docks little by little. But he also mentioned that they will be opening up an area on the property for RV parking. Not sure what that may mean.
