I know i know this has been discussed a 1000 times on here but what are some of your favorite ways to cook dolphin? I have tried all kinds of ways and im just looking to try something new
On the grill with just a little Jamaican jerk seasoning or a little salt, pepper, and lemon juice.

Emeril’s Fish Rub, a frying pan, and a drizzle of olive oil.
No offense but italian dressing is a joke.

I have tried all the normal stuff. " lemon butter, EVOO , store bought seasonings, etc… I was looking for something different and out of the ordinary

salt + pepper dolphin BLT makes a heck of a breakfast -
lemon, dill, butter, S&P, wrap in foil, put in oven/on grill… wowzas
Blackening seasoning/salt/pepper/melted butter. Blacken oudoors on a super duper hot cast iron pan. A propane burner works well.
It ain’t no mystery…this beer’s history!
Blue do you mind going into depth on blackening it?

You gotta get the name brand, full fat, full of chunky pieces of stuff, kind. Italian dressing aint no joke. I don’t like it repeatedly, but not to be ruled out on almost any thing. gallon zip lock bag and all the fresh vegetables you can think of cut up soaked over night in Italian dressing and them put on the grill in a basket… dang … squash are blooming won’t be long now.
What edistodaniel said.
Started growing my own dill a couple of years ago, that’s some good stuff on fish, with just a little salt, pepper, lemon, and real butter.

Italian dressing is a way better marinade than it is a salad dressing. Sure you CAN make it better, but Italian dressing is oil, vinegar, garlic and herbs…Sounds like a pretty decent marinade to me
I like to grill it with a bit of basil pesto and topped with a slice of grilled tomato. I also like making a fish salad or stuffing mushrooms with it.
Mushrooms stuffed with cooked dolphin, garlic, cream cheese and green onions are a great appetizer or a whole meal.
Fish and grits…cut the raw dolphin into cubes and sprinkle with blackening seasoning. Get the grits up to a good simmer and dump the dolphin in. It will cook pretty quickly.

It always surprises me when some asks a question
" what are some of your favorite ways to cook dolphin?"
And then talks crap about the replies

Just saying. Italian Dressing is overrated. Seems like it is used when someone has no other ideas. It is used for everything. Fish, pork, deer loin, etc…

Soy sauce and sesame seed oil are a good base for an Asian style marinade. You can mix it up with honey, onions, brown sugar, oregano, etc…

Come on Phin, that would be like saying butter, lemon, salt, and pepper are over rated too with that logic.
I’m going to try that fish and grits thing lowcountry boy suggested. That sounds different and good.

The grits do sound good. The soy sauce and sesame seed oil sounds good as well.
