Dear First…I would recommend that you take a kayak tour out to Capers Is. on a rising tide. If you are going by boat try putting in at Garris Landing in Awendaw…you need to monitor the tide carefully as that landing can get gooey at low tide. Run the ICW down to Prices Inlet, and turn into the inlet. Look for feeding dolphins along the bank, near creek mouths, and mud flats. They are very used to local boat traffic, tours and such, and will not scatter at the sound of your engine. Keep in mind that it is a big fine to harass dolphins…keep your distance and do not attempt to feed them under any circumstance. Good luck.
They are always feeding in front of James island yacht club and betweent there…sunrise park and fort sumpter where it is shallow…also if you put over at folly and head out towards the marinas…
