Dosen't get any better.

What more can one say about the beautiful lowcountry this time of year.

Sunrise on the harbor with the pup for company, water like glass, little artic mist hovering on the water, spent a hour getting a 1/3 cooler of large shrimp deep holeing, switched to fish mode, couple nice big over slot reds, some sightcasting along marsh with a few more reds, few flounder. Got the pup aquainted with a mama dolphin and her little baby, back at the ramp by noon.
Beautiful day to be alive in the lo country!

You guys down there have got it made. Oh well, one day I hope to retire and move down there. Hopefully I won’t be too old to enjoy it. Sounds like a great day Russ.

I feel more relaxed from just reading this!:sunglasses:

good post - - I get hassled for missing church some Sundays. I tell them to get up and come fishing with me and see a sunrise, and you’ll be with God and he will show you a little bit of heaven. Then the rector said, “I’ll go!”
a good gotcha there,
NaClH20

Hear ya there NaClH20! Myself I’d rather be fishing thinking about God, then in church thinking about fishing!
Was definitly a stress releaving day and well needed, been havin to deal with putting Dad in a Alzheimers care facility and it’s been rough on all involved for sure.

Thank goodness for life in the lowcountry. I’m sorry to hear about your dad. I lost mine to that terrible disease a couple years ago. The caregivers and family suffer through some very tough times, and need a place to heal. The comforting embrace of a day on the water with God’s joy all around is a good stiff tonic. Stay strong when you can, but it’s OK to cry.
