Want to check if this happens often.
Berkeley county sent me a delinquent tax notice from 2014 and wants $250 plus dollars in taxes on my boat. The problem being I live in Dorchester county, they mailed the letter to my son who does live in Berkeley county but has no ownership in the boat title or registration. When I called the county office and asked how they justify taxing my boat the lady told me it’s out of her hands she just collects the bills. I’m sure I can find the tax receipts from those years that I paid to Dorchster, but mad that I have to proof that I never lived in or kept my boat in Berkeley and they can send me an unsubstantiated bill.
I believe this is a DNR error. Check with them too.
