Got out a bit today but, not a ton of water. Fish were half cruzers and tailers. Had a cruzer heading along a bank and he lipped my shrimp fly and it slipped free. I roll cast the fly back on his nose and he hit it like a mugger. The water exploded and he was off for a short run. Looked like about 22 inches. Turned him loose quickly because others were moving along the bank.
I really only posted to say… stay in the fight. Be ready to flip the fly right back in front of the fish if he doesn’t spook. You don’t have to cast, just roll it back over. Made my day.
