Looking for a dove club to join for 2015 season. Would prefer within an hour or so of charleston, but open to a little farther out if need be. Trying to get an early start on next season. Thanks.

Triple Tail, I say your best bet would be to do some net working in person. Here is may take on it. Most Dove hunts are private affairs from those that have enough land to grow crops specifically attracting doves or can afford to rent someone else property. I have not seen a club that specifically recruits members, but more invites them. Get to know some locals, don’t be pushy and ask around. My brother rents out one of his 60 acre fields to a local person to dove hunt. When he brings clients and friends in for a dove hunt he likes to have several fields so you know at least one is holding doves. Part of the rent includes my brother being able to bring 2 others to a hunt. I’m no professional dove hunter and prefer quail, but have some patience and do a lot of asking around. I’ll double check with some friends and see if they do indeed take any memberships…
