Hunted this morning in the fog, killed my 8 bird limit before they started to really pour in. Got out of field at 7:50, let the rest of the birds come on in and feed. The dog is tired now.
Dog looks happy!

Nice Pic! Nothing like the splendor of watching a well trained dog work. Why 8? My SCDNR book says 12 is the limit on Doves. Did I miss something?
Great picture.
quote:Well nuts, I kill what I can eat. No need for me to gun down 12 when my wife and kids don't care about eating them. More importantly, I want birds for later when things cool down. That's why I said my 8 bird limit, not State limit, my limit.

Nice looking Boykin. Interesting to note that we have something in common. My Boykin is going on 11, and is starting to wear down. He’s been an a “good un”. He came out of Pocotaligo Kennels sired by “HighBrass Harley”. He’s 52 #'s, and he’s lean. You wanna guess what his name is? It’s been a terrible year at both of my clubs. Fields in Aynor and Kingstree have been virtually empty. Labor day opening week end had what stayed through the storm, but after that, pitiful. Maybe they hauled over to your honey hole?

I would have to go through 4 boxes of shells to kill 8:smiley:
