25 trout on live shrimp and a few on zman. Early NNE wind made south bank on Wando unfishable so we tried some new spots. No bait was seen until we moved up river to cleaner water. Not a bad day and a hell of a lot better than work!!! Stay tuned!!

Trout Trout and more Trout! We killed them today in numbers and size! Zman Smokey Shad. But you gotta fish it slow. Don’t reel just let the tide carry it over the oysters and reel up the slack line. Reminded me of fishing deep water crappie with a jig! Enjoy the pics

Great pictures, nice catches, glad to see fish after the storm!

That’s incredible. Great report and so fun to see the photos.
I’ve got to figure out trout. I suck at finding them despite the great suggestions on this site. I’d be ecstatic to catch 2 and you landed 25. Geez.

This should seriously be considered for your avatar…

The goal for today was to put my dad on a red fish but it did not happen. Just too many things worked against us. While fishing a few Trout spots we baited up nicely with shrimp, finger mullet, and some 12" mullet for cut bait. I set a crab pot Tuesday evening at the mouth of Nowell but someone stole it. It was on the right hand side heading into the creek. the buoy had my name and address on it. So no blue crab. Really frustrating!!!

We soaked baits for 3 hrs in the grillage where I had to sacrifice my anchor. Oh well that’s how it goes sometimes. Maybe tomorrow we will run into a red while Trout fishing. Time for some seafood and a cold Corona!!!

With all the water, it might have been taken by the tide!

Possible but not probable. I had 25 ft of thin rope and heavy rebar. Searched up/down current. I can make another. No worries.

mark, you ARE dialed in.

We finished the trip with some respectable trout today. 27 total all of them came of points with oyster bed mostly 12 to 13 inches. I got some video that I will pos later. I did get my dad hooked up with a red but it was a small one. We will take it though and be thankful!!! He thoroughly enjoy this great low country fishery!
