Anyone have a lead on where i can pick up some today? Biggest braid in town i can find is 80#. Would like to stay away from SS cable. I am tired of hearing that hum. But if i have to go back with it i will. Mine now has some bad spots on it and keep getting it stuck in my hand. Anyone ever looked at the downrigger stuff at sportsmans warehouse? Guess that may be my last hope for today.
Did you try lakeworld, if not maybe academy.
Wellcraft V-20 sportfish with a 200 Evinrude
Richard has 1 roll of ss cable for 30$. Need two. Thinking i may try like a 1/8" or smaller cord from lowes or something, but dont want to lose my ball. And that size rope may be too much drag and bring the ball up…that what stinks about living in a freshwater town…lol…and wanting it today and not wanting to wait
I’m pretty sure I asked at Academy before and they didn’t have it.
I use 200 lb braid from Hadrell’s. They roll off from a big spool and I remember it being very reasonable $/foot. If Richard don’t have any, I can get my son to bring some next time he’s up…if not this weekend, next.
BTW, I take back what I said yesterday. I don’t think I would try the 80 lb you have.

Yea i looked at the 80 on one of my reels this morning and didnt like the idea either. Sad part about is, i was in beaufort this weekend and forgot all about getting some. I do have some 200# mono at the house but no crimps and probably not enough to do both. Either way i guess i will be fine.i can live through one more night of catching fish…
I can get what you need back from Charleston on Friday. I go down every week. I can stop at Haddrells and get whatever you want. Actually I will be back Thursday afternoon. Let me know.
