Put in at Rosewood landing this weekend and managed to find some bait along the banks and pulled two undersized stiper from some deep water below white water - both on live bait. Saw several guys catching numbers (using large white grubs) and only one large fish that looked to be about 20 lbs.
Plenty of bait (herring or shad?) and plenty of fish to be caught.
Thanks for the report. Should be an interesting spring, if the water flow holds up.
surprised they haven’t been running more water than they have with the lake as high as it is…looks like a few days of rain later this week…hopefully they’ll run some more water than they’ve been running
btw, heres a link to check the water flow in the saluda for anyone interested that doesn’t have it…you can also check the history of flow for up to the last 60 days

I hear rumors that you can catch a smallie up in there…
You can catch smallies in that area. I have caught several between Rosewood and Gervais St. Fish the rocks and you should catch some.
