Drain pipe screens??

I have a piece of property that has a lot of pipes under roads, out of field and so on. 4" - 24" is the range.
Looking to make some kind of “strainer” for the intakes.

First idea:
5 gallon bucket up side down, cut so the pipe comes in the side. 2" hole saw 10-15 holes. This would be for say up to 8" pipes.
Use 55 gallon and maybe a 4" hole saw for the 10" and up.

Second idea:
yea really don’t have one of these…

Anyone come up with the DIY cheap method??

BTW: anyone looking to get rid of large size pipe, I could use it!

Thanks

I’ve ordered flap gates, check valves, inlet guards, and water control structures from that company. The only DIY I’ve done for drain pipe,is a coyote flap made from heavy duty rubber, attached with a small piece of angle iron on the top side of pipe.

this inlet guard should do what you’re asking.
