Took a friend up for the weekend and was really impressed with the campsites on the water. The weather sucked so I didn’t do any fishing.
I was wondering if any ya’ll would be interested in picking a date to go up this spring and get a few sites to camp/ fish from. I checked the availability and its perty much open, but am sure it will fill up quickly when the weather starts to warm.
cut mullet next time you come this waydrop me an e mail.my lake house is 5 minutes from dreher.i could also show you some spots to fish.one more thing before you set any dates call the office and see if there are any bass tourneys.they would not be to kayak friendly.

Count me in, but since I have no camping gear, I’ll rent a cabin which I think they have. The movers are coming today, Tuesday, to load me up for my move to Greenwood.

You know I am in …I have a spot that has done well the past two years during may(and catch a few here and there in-between)…I’m willing to bet that sharky has a couple other spots also(I know sharky did well during the cold months last year)…between our combined information I’m sure we could get on some stripers(STRIPPERS !!

Oh yeah …SHARKY …I got an extra 'yak(w/lowrance FF & livewell)…you should give it a try …I’m sure you would get hooked on ‘yak fishin’ …like the rest of us !!! 
thanks murray but i back problems.i have 2 18inch metal rods in my back.it’s hard for me to sit for any length of time.a pine tree jumped in front of my truck.i’ll stick with my boat.we will use it as a mother ship of sort in case somebody needs something.sparky 5250 brings his camper down around that time also.maybe we all can plan the same weekend.

I am good for 1st, 3rd, or 4th weekend in May. (anyone want to volunteer to call office, and ask about tourneys?) Be really cool if we get sites adjoining each other on the water… (murray- bring the smoker:stuck_out_tongue:)
If I remember correctly …site # 11 is right along the underwater-ridge at “the gap” …just west of the southwestern tip of dreher…when do you think the fish will be at the gap sharky ?.. I have done well up at the north end of buffalo crk. in May…plus…you can get a burger at the buf.crk marina

murray there ae fish there now.they generally stay there year round.the problem is finding them.cutmullet those dates sound good to me.whatabout anyone else.i wanted to go today but the wife has stuf for me to do.it looks like saturday is goin to be a good day.
