Thought I would send this one out. I went to winyah fri night , got there late boat was messin up so I didnt go far set up poles caught 50 to 80 on first two runs then nothin. I used bait binder and it was a little soft so I figured I would rebait. Started drifting while I was waiting got close to the grass so I casted by the grass and started catching 15 to 20 med shrimp almost every cast. anyway went home w/half cooler but only because I had to work. Anyone else tried drifting along the grass ?
Did the drifting thing myself last year one weekend cause i went shrimping by myself one night and tried drifting and throwing at poles but it got to frustrating and said forget that and started drifting and throwing close to grass. Had same luck with 10 to 15 med shrimp per cast.Ended up with about 1/2 a cooler myself.So it will work just depends on location and if you ready to work for them…
The worst part about it my poles were only about 20 yards off the grass. Its a lot off work deheading smaller shrimp too but I guess from what I have been hearing I did better than most so there you go,I’m not gonna complain. Just not sure why they were not at my bait with it so close.
too bad you didnt try throwing the net along the grass in bulls bay last year, buddy.
