It is amazing, all that money just sitting in the water.
Go find some redfish schools with that drone now!
Yes, that’s an expensive stretch of water. Raining today, but we will have the drone out this week. Have a few more ready to put up today.
Drones are taking over… using thermal to find hogs even these days. It is a great view O must admit. Keep em coming. Do you have a suggestion on one to get for good pictures and video?
There are companies that will teach you, but it is still a rather new business. For an individual, you really need three basic things to do a reasonable job for consumer images. First a decent GPS drone. DJI has the best consumer drones. (under $1,000 ) The entry level Mini 4k, shoots in 4k, which is the minimum these days. These will shoot either stills or video. Drones are aircraft, so you need to learn that part and pass the TRUST FAA test for sure. The second thing is to be ready to practice a lot. You need to learn how it flys. Then learn the FAA laws. This is very important. For instance staying away from the airports and in your zone. Think of the sky as a layered cake. Drones can fly in the first 400 ft. Then as you go up, there are other layers but unless you have the Part 107 FAA license you are not going there. You can get great shots without going over 400ft. I am sure there will be more suggestions from others. It can be a real blast if you take time to learn it. I started with a Mini SE, and went from there. Good luck.
Looking back into the Fall, here is a short video of a few of the many ponds at Carolina Bay, off of Rt 17 in West Ashley. Carolina Bay has dozens of medium and small ponds - many stocked with fish. https://youtu.be/IYtCeWWdF0Y
The Stono River and St. John’s Yacht Club. Many creeks and bays along the Stono heading down the ICW.https://youtu.be/zl6kfXSq2D0
