Drones

bottom line,it is still working on the bad guys, and I have all but retired from fishing.the occasional Gov. Cup Tourney is what I’m limited to anymore…big sporties have a nicer ride, and payout for crew is a nice touch.

Let the drones fly!

Just remember that when you take a leak in the scupper before you are 12 miles out and you get a ticket for dumping waste illegally. I’m sure the pictures will come out great!

150 years ago it was legal to own a person. Just because its a law doesn’t make it right. We are becoming no better than China. I say pull em in a net, then into the box. I don’t care how good their cameras are. They can’t see underwater.

Ha! that’s great. I thought I was the only to do that. At least in a Kayak! Sitting there, peeing all over myself - classic

So, as long as it doesn’t effect you, anything goes. Typical Liberal Democrat line of thinking, all about me and to hell with anyone else.

Guess we all better be watching what we cut up for bait now.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Aren’t drones used for spying? So now we are spying on citizens who are not even accused of a crime. Does this mean cops are allowed to start peeping in our bedroom windows hoping to “catch bad guys”?

Hell, citizens aren’t even allowed to take pictures of livestock! It’s a crime to do so! But now some knucklehead can take pictures from a drone of you humping your wife 50 miles offshore.

been there done that. Hopefully do it a few more times, I sure as hell don’t want someone watching. You kind of think you have some privacy away from everyone. Guess not.

Maybe they should put those millions to creating an enormous reef and we would never have to worry about overfishing again…

That would be a dream come true. What ever happened to the magical secret area 51 off our coast. Is it still a secret? Always heard the Feds had put up a huge top secret off shore reef to do studies.

I know a guy who recently got busted by a drone. He was fishing in the Dry Tortugas, practicing fillet and release. They met him at the dock and arrested him.

Because they take some very pretty pictures and display them in court

We had a small drone circle us 3 times in Broad River last year, and it was only 50’ high. Made a few loops around the boat then headed on upriver.

Cracker the ones in the broad are most likely our Marines doing some training.

Some of you guys have worked yourselves up into a tizzy about this. I’ve seen a lot of “well this guy told me this” and “I heard this guy say that”. Other than cracker, I don’t see any proof whatsoever that this is actually going on in SC, and from the post above it sounds like that wasn’t even DNR anyway. DNR barely has enough funding to operate what they have. Some of those who are so worked up should just ask the head of DNR law enforcement if they use drones. I would think they have to tell the truth about it. I think this is much ado about nothing. But I guess it’s a good way for some to vent their “I hate the government” feelings.

Typical Liberal Democrat stuff here for sure, Can you say POLICE STATE

Local Boy, Just having fun.

Do you have shot gun that can effectively kill at anywhere between 7k to 40k feet?

I wish somebody would put a drone at the grillage to count all of the yahoos floating breeders…

Love the liberal logic about being retired from fishing…I’ll just fish my sporty in big $$$ tourneys…no thought about future generations who fish on a tight budget…I already had my fun so F everyone else…people like this unfortunately run the country. Try going over to England and doing some fun fishing…or hunting…big govt. took over long ago and now only the rich have access.

The average and largest percentage of fishermen need to keep speaking out against this overt govt. control.

Who is worried about DNR? I guess you are right. We should just let the feds run rampant in the other 49 states and not worry about it until we have proof that it's going on in SC...

You do realize that the “succession from the union” didn’t stick, right?

PLEASE! If SAFMC could get access to drone time, they would be patrolling the MPA’s tomorrow…

Law enforcement is using them all over the country. There was even a story in the news last year about using drones to catch cattle thieves.

I have a solution…

It scares me how many people really don’t care or don’t know what is going on with our government. They are trying to control our lives and monitor our every move. Name one country in history that followed this model and is still a power house. I don’t want govt. spying on me with drones, monitoring my soda intake, or the paper I use to wipe…

That picture is incredible!!! And exactly what I was thinking except for a rocket launcher instead of that gun. OccamsRaiser if you go back through and read this discussion it was never said that this happened off SC- it is happening in nearby states and can easily happen here in the near future. The DNR doesn’t have to tell you anything and doesn’t necessarily have a part in the Drones as of now…Drones are no good for anything including spying…which is just one big business finding a way to F another anyhow. Our world of constant war, constant bad news and “crime” and living in a state of fear is terrible, … but as long as the TV works and the football game is on for most of the dummies the beer will make the population smarter! Wrong

whats all this jibberish have to do with bad guys getting caught breaking the law?

Yeah,I had fun, then George Bush signed the Magnusen-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Reauthorization Act of 2006, on Jan 12 2007,and bottom fishing was f-cked.Yellowfin tunas are no longer being caught recreationally out of here, and why troll around on $5/gal gasoline to catch mahis?

I have higher priorities, something called wife and kids.

How does me being invited to fish tournaments on large boats, make me responsible for the welfare of future generations?

sounds as if you need a little midol,Bo.
