Drop Weight vs Venting Tool?

I tried to find my original post about this, but I could not find it.

Went out on 9-3-14 and caught our limit of B-Liners and we had to start throwing them back. I let one go at the surface and it struggled to get below the surface, but the drop weight tool seems to work very well:

It takes a small amount of finesse to get the fish to stay on the hook and sink him at the same time. Hook the fish and gently throw the drop weight into the water. Let him go at least 10-15 feet, prefer 30.

Worked like a charm.

Wish I could, in the outer banks. No internet. All I can do to get this site to work with my data connection. Streaming video is impossible.

Danm you sellsfish... When you recommend something I normally run out and buy it, but I was really trying to hold back on one of these things...

Seaquilizer is supposed to give you a better feeling about having released a nice ARS to live to fight another day.

Thankx Claim - those handline spools keep the line, weight and SeaQ in a handy package.

Just ordered one.
Had to punch a nice red twice on Monday before he went down! Air released both times - got to wonder if he will make it??

Depends on if you poked him in the air bladder or in the stomach I suppose.
