Hit the water at Remley’s about 10am headed over to Town Creek. Brought mud minnows but was able to cast net a good amount of mullet. Only got a few bites on minnows and caught one ray on them. Nothing on plastics. Basic carolina rig w/ mullet was the hot ticket. Caught a couple trout, a baby red, a couple small flounder, a ray and a blue. Only keepers were a 17" trout and the blue. Stayed out until low tide @ 3pm. Most of the fish and the best bite was in the morning between 10am to noon.

Also had this guy hanging out on my bow for most of the morning. Didn’t seem too afraid of me. I could get within two feet before he’d fly off but he’d come right back.

Nice report and a hell of a Blue. Keep it up and thats neat to have a bird out there. I know they will steal shrimp from you if the shrimp are left out.

I was quite suprised to see the blue when I pulled it in. Thought it was going to be a trout. Kind of figured most blues had headed north by now.

What do you do with the blues…do you eat them?
I donate my all my keeper fish to friends and neighbors who don’t fish. I’m not a big fish eater, mostly just shellfish. Gave the blue and trout to my neighbor. He slow grills the blues to get all the oil and grease out. Actually is pretty good the way he does it.

I recognize the bow of a 13’ Malibu in that picture. How’s it run with the 25 mercury?
It moves along pretty good. Enough to keep up with traffic. I’ve also added a hydrofoil and it made quite an improvement in takeoff and shallow water running.
