Dry Stack in Charleston.

I have a 17 Mako and am thinking about dry stacking half the year. So… cost and location are both important. Who, what and where are the great deals?

You’re less likely to get the “great” deal without annual contract.
Don’t know any great deals close to the harbor.
Bristol Marina has those drive-on floating docks for smaller boats-but don’t know if they’re rentals.
I’m at Ripley-$17/ft/mo I was “list” price in 2014-discount was substantial for a 12 mo contract.

Boat show in January-you can try to work a deal there.

I’m in the same position. Sold my last boat, bought another, and now looking for either another storage space on the trailer or possibly dry stack it for a year. It’s a 17 Sea Hunt.

I’m not exactly finding any “great deals” for dry stack, even with an annual contract. I thought Magwoods would be cheap since it’s pretty small and bare bones…WRONG! Location, location, location I guess. I was kind of hoping I could scoop up something for a special deal here going into winter, but not going so well so far…Maybe somebody will have a Black Friday slip leasing sale haha. What I’ve found so far on dry stack:

Magwoods - $16.95/ft, 20 ft min., $339/mo
Seabreeze Marina - $300/mo (I think that is $15/ft, 20 ft min.)
Dolphin Cove Marina - $11/ft (from website, can’t find a minimum, so assuming 20 ft), $220?
Rivers Edge Marina - $270/mo inside, $260/mo outside
Daniel Island Marina - $280-330/mo depending on contract, yr/season/month-to-month
Ripley Light - waiting to hear back
Bristol Marina - $315/mo for a 20’ jet dock

Dolphin Cove and Rivers Edge are obviously the cheapest, but for me they’re in really sorry locations…again, for me. Don’t want any of y’all who are in those two places to take that personally!

Seabreeze is by far the best location for me, for where I boat and close to the gf’s place in Mt.P (I live in N. Augusta). Maybe I’ll try to wait them out a little deeper into winter, or try to figure out how to get a spot a little cheaper.

The Dry Stack on Leeds usually has the best price at the boat show, something like ~$240 for my 19" boat (And I think if you signed a 1 year contract you’d get 1-2 months free). I’m not a fan of the location though. I think I’d rather take the Daniel Island stack for an extra ~$20-$30.

Rivers Edge Marina’s FAQ flyer also says mid-grade e-free fuel at cost. Can anybody verify that and tell us what the cost of fuel has been?

I own a slip for lease at Daniel Island Marina. I’m willing to give a CF.com deal. PM me through site if interested.

We ended up choosing Rivers Edge Marina. $200/mo for boats 19’ and under. Can’t beat that. I went by to check it out a couple weeks back because I hadn’t been in there before. Pretty nice facilities and real nice folks too. Time to start learning fishing the Ashley and Stono side!

I stopped by dolphin cove too. Wow, I think they were open, at least the office door was, and nobody there. Office inside looked like a tornado had been through there. Place was horrible. They have some site work going on so maybe they have something better in the works. But until they clean that office up I’d be very concerned about lost paperwork, messed up billing, etc. No confidence after seeing that.
