Is the landing still open,and has anyone fished there in the spring in the last few years? It’s been 40 yrs since I’ve been there and would like to go back again. Thanks

I have been fishing Duck Pond in the Spring every year for the past 40 years. The back pond has silted in some and saw grass has taken over a lot of it. The front pond is still easily fishable though.

Access at the old dirt landing ( north of Duck Pond ) ended a long time ago. There is a new concrete ramp ( Day’s landing ) though in the same cove.

You need to get there now then. Some nice Bass are being caught now.

New trolling motor coming 10th,what’s the bass biting on,I usually fish with fly rod but will adapt. Thanks for info.

It varies. Depends on the weather. Winter for a couple of days then spring for a couple days. Crank baits on the colder days in stump fields, then worms, jerk baits or spinner baits in shallows when it is warmer.
