Dumb Stickers

Why do these stickers create such an uproar while Penn, Shimano, St. Croix, Loomis, and all the other fishing-related stickers get a pass? Just curious.

“I’m not a hundred percent in love with your tone right now…”

I’d put a Black Bart and Cracker Larry, sticker on my tailgate because that would be styling:smiley:

That’d be doing my man Cracker Larry a HUGE disservice…

I’ll put his above of yours Bart:wink: Could you live with that:question:

I buy saltlife sticker and place them on any vehicle/boat that does something stupid.
Park across 2 stalls? You get a saltlife sticker.
Tie your boat up blocking the ramp? You get a saltlife sticker.

Unfortunately, the owners just think it’s cool and dont understand it’s an insult.

Regarding a Yeti sticker creating an uproar vs. high end rod/reels: I believe it’s purely due to the fact that people wives won’t let them pay that much for a cooler but have no clue how much money their husband’s have sunk in the rods/reels.
The sticker says, “I wear the pants in this family” and that infuriates insecure men.

…Just kidding guys (putting on the kevlar.)

friogatto, do you remember the old song about Signs! Or Jeff Foxworthy and his skit, Is this your Sign? I like your subtle approach:smiley:

Did someone put stickers on the OP’s vehicle or boat? If not, it’s none of his business if someone puts a sticker on their vehicle or boat. What’s the big deal anyway? Granted, the only “sticker” on my truck is the McClellanville boat ramp sticker, but if someone wants to stick Salt Life, Yeti, Costa, Guy Harvey, or whatever sticker they want all over their truck, boat, cooler, or trailer it’s their property and their right to do so. It’s no different showing support for, let’s say, Yeti coolers by having a Yeti sticker on your truck than it is to show your support for CCA, or DU, or QDMA by putting one of those stickers on your truck.

Personally I feel sorry for the OP if his life is so boring and meaningless that he has to question what other people do with their own property and more specifically, why people put stickers on things. What a tool!

So you don’t have brand stuff, you don’t wear any brand name anything? Because they’re not sponsoring you? Do you wear Guy Harvey, Columbia, Nike anything? Because if you do your promoting a brand that doesn’t sponsor you

I think they sit together in English class looking at Saltwater Sportsman magazine ads instead of paying attention.

Punctuation does go a long way.

Stickers I have on the back window of my truck are: Charlestonfishing.com, Southcarolinaonthelakes.com(that I should take off since it’s not around any more), Midlands Striper Club(I used to be a member), scfishingreport.com, Harsco Rail(since that is where I work), Marine Pro(great guys, great fiberglass work), and my Harley Davidson sticker. I’ve got a DNR sticker on the back of my boat. Oh, and I’ve got my little American flag, that I got for donating to the vets, on my dash.

Hahaha y'all are hilarious. I guarantee that's not the case. If we did he'd know what a 11lb flounder was! And it's called a smartphone. If you don't get on this site with one, you wouldnt know the struggle. Rapchizzle- aren't you in Alaska? Redfish_Matt- I wasn't speaking to you, but the OP.

Yakman does as well with spelling and punctuation as half of the adults on here. He usually conducts himself better too. The only course I ever failed in my life was 11th grade English. Had to go to summer school that year. Bummer for sure while friends were water skiing and at the beach. Walked into summer school and found out I had the same teacher who failed me in the winter. Dang, he and I didn’t get along well at all. Squeaked by with a D and still don’t know where my commas and colons go [:I]

Math, geometry, trig, calculus, physics, chemistry, electronics, no problem. Comma splice? Big problem. Everybody is good at something, nobody is good at everything. Why do y’all want to bash a 16 year old kid who likes to fish and hunt? Heat getting to you? It is me, sure was hot today!

There is someone on this forum who is an expert at anything you care to mention, but nobody is an expert at everything.

What’s the difference than someone putting “Holley” or “Nitrous” or any other car part they could have in their car. No one ever says anything about that.

Yeah, kind of wondering what his beef is with Yeti and Salt Life. What about any other stickers or is it just these that “bother” him?

Never had any problem understanding your posts, and I for one appreciate all of them. You contribute as much to this site (positively) as anyone else IMO. Yakman, you have always been very respectful and informative on your posts. Stay above mediocrity by taking your time conveying your message.
