Yeti, Saltlife
Whats the point of putting these on your truck?
why do you feel the need to tell us what kind of cooler you have?

You are not going to get much of a response on this topic here.
I didn’t think it mattered what they said…I thought it was about placement?
Dang, you hate them so much you posted in two areas. Maybe you should go fishing. They seem to bother you quite a bit.
And for the record, you will find neither on my truck.

No Chit. I just don’t see the point of telling people you may or may not have a cooler. I haven’t fished a day since the Big Rock. Too Busy working. Wish I could take a day off. I was just hoping maybe someone would pipe up and say something rational as to why you would put a cooler sticker on anything. Like “I am sponsored by Yeti, and because I am such a good fisherman they want me to show everyone what kind of cooler I use to keep my beer cold longer than you.”
Some people think its cool, obviously. He other reason for it.
Most of it would fall under the category of male ego. This same type of behavior can be seen on ridiculous levels in all tournament circuits. Guys walking around wearing $200 “tournament” shirts with 15 “sponsors” that don’t pay them a dime. These folks are affectionately called “patch pirates” in the bass fishing world. It really is funny to watch all the promotion of products with absolutely no real sponsorship.
Csuse my sticker is cooler than you. I love my yeti, and I have a dang good lookin sticker on my truck. I also got one and costa one on the toolbox.
Is it also dumb that I have a don’t tread on me sticer too? Oh wait, I don’t care if you don’t like my stickers! don’t like it, don’t put em on yours. Its actually quite simple

I have no need in advertising for anyone unless I am sponsored by them, and the fact that I typically end the day not actually needing a cooler means I’m not likely to be sponsored by anyone.
If I were to wear a sticker on my truck or boat for anything, it would be one that says “Entropy Sucks”, because both my boat and my truck, as well as me personally, have suffered greatly at its hands.

That was funny right there
I’m not into stickers either, don’t have any on my truck or car. I’ve got a Yeti, would never have bought it myself but it was gifted to me. The sticker on it fell off in a month.
To me an NRA sticker advertises steal my guns. A “Protected BY S&W” sticker says steal my S&W. A Yeti sticker says steal my Yeti and rods and reels. No stickers on my vehicles.

I’m not too big on advertising for company’s that don’t pay me. However, I believe that people do so because it’s like a badge or a uniform that tells people who they are. To quickly establish identity. Isn’t that why we choose to wear what we do as well? Like it or not, It’s a simple fact that people look for symbols for first impressions and to identify members of their own “tribes.”
Bigger question is why does the way other people choose to portray themselves bother you so much?

Good advice here. Although honestly I’d put a Cracker Larry Boats on my truck if it weren’t for the fact that 1) I don’t yet own one of your boats and 2) I’d probably get my tires slashed by folks that misunderstood.
I did, when I was a teenager, make a sticker I put on my truck that said “This vehicle protected by anti-theft ax murderer”

So you don’t have brand stuff, you don’t wear any brand name anything? Because they’re not sponsoring you? Do you wear Guy Harvey, Columbia, Nike anything? Because if you do your promoting a brand that doesn’t sponsor you

Yakman, you must be really young. Your grammar is almost as bad as MillerTime2.

I’m not sure if you were addressing me or not (sorta looks like it, can’t tell), but no I actually have nothing by Guy Harvey (I know one guy named Harvey, he’s an attorney, and I know nothing else of this other Guy Harvey ), I have nothing by Columbia (with or without a thunderchicken emblem), but I do have two Nike polo shirts, but they don’t count because I bought them at the Goodwill.
I drive a 12 year old Cadillac and a 25 year old GMC truck, both of which have their respective logo on the grille, and neither of which I paid a nickel for as they were gifts to my family from extended family (and, unlike Aaron Tippen’s car, the radio on my truck about the only thing that doesn’t work). My jon boat’s brand name has been painted over enough that you can’t read it, and most of my fishing reels have been used enough that the names were worn off a long time ago.
But, alas, my tires do clearly say “Goodyear” and my watch clearly says “Casio”, so I suppose I’m guilty there.

Thanks Matt. Here ya go…I don’t have one on my truck either, but I do have a closet full of Guy Harvey and Salt Life T-shirts. Most bought by my wife, son and mother.
