ok this ones just for fun but what does everyone think the dumbest fish around is? after repeated trips to the pogy pods im gonna have to nominate the sail cat (gaffotsail catfish). time after time ive thrown the snagging hook to get bait only to get a sail clean in the mouth. the first time i thought i hooked a menhaden that got hit quickly, then i did it again several times and the line was heavy from the get go. today i managed to hook and land one that was 22" with just a bare treble! any other strong candidates?

Freshwater, but rock bass. We used to catch them on an opened swivel. When you would reel them in, they would spiral in with their mouth open. Dumb, dumb, dumb!
Ice fishing in Wisconsin years ago, we had a northern pike eat two baits that were set about 10 yards apart in separate holes. One tip-up went off, then 10 seconds later, the other one tipped up. We bring in one of the tip ups and a pike has two hooks in his lip.
Yeh I know, not a lot of ice fishing down here.
