I have been doing a lot of flounder fishing this season from Little River to Winyah Bay and while casting for bait I have been catching good sized shrimp in the most unlikely places earlier than ever. I hope this means it will be a good season…
While wadefishing yesterday about collarbone deep the little 2-3" shrimp were all over me!

yea, we caught a good many bait sized shrimp on the 4th…
yakman, you sure those were shrimp? while hanging out in the creeks over the 4th the little minnows were all over us like that too…thought they were shrimp to begin with, but then noticed they were minnows…not sure if they were mudders or what…

Yeah I could see em, they were crawling on me and occasionally stinging me with the antennas… I had to go put on a shirt to stop me from feeling em!

Collarbone deep? Casting must’ve been a chore. ![]()
brown shrimp crop was good this year, about tapered off now. lots of white shrimp in my bait creek since about 3 weeks ago- most of them are still way too small to stick in a 3/8" net, which makes barbawang optimistic and excited!
I caught a couple dozen 2 - 3" casting for MM near JI last Friday. Even caught a little squid who bit me then inked me.
Hey guys! Bout that time again. Just got back from Edisto, and the white shrimp are very thick. Won’t mention where exactly, but they were all in the 3"+ range. Happy Shrimping!
Cool, I’ll be in Edisto in about a week. Don’t catch em all.
