Finally got to get out Saturday morning at Witherbee Plantation in Cordseville to shoot some early teal. This place is nothing short of amazing…my family is managing it for ducks and doves, and have planted corn, rice, milo, millet, sunflowers, and a slew of other crops and diked off the property to allow them to flood the fields. The birds were thick last year, and I shot my first limit of early season teal in my life there last year.
This year there were some birds, but it’s still warm up north, probably will be another week or two before they really get here…but we did shoot some.
Anyone else get any early teal this year?
Not quite plumed out yet, but the Browning Maxus didn’t care. Have I mentioned I’m in love with this shotgun?
