Started the day off slow partly due to deploying lines too shallow. We caught 2 bulls and 5 cows between 600 feet out to 226 hole. Headed in early around 1:30. It’s always exciting to see someone land a dolphin for the first time.
looks like ya’ll had a grand time! can’t wait to snag my first dolphin!

Steve,
Looks like you picked the right day and had a good first trip. No fair catching dolphin offshore while I was stuck in Charlotte for the day…
Lets plan on hooking up soon…

Hey Rich, Sorry you weren’t able to go with us Friday but the season is just cranking up. Look forward to some serious billfishing this year.
Hooked Up, You’re right…looks like Dicky Miler has that rod butt jammed in there amongst the “boys” rather tightly. Good thing he has his family established or he might have some reproductive issues Problem with having muliple hook-ups and only one fighting belt.

Hey Chris…Yeah we went Friday. Sorry I missed your radio call. Who did you have on your boat?
I’m chomping at the bit to start another season of spear fishing. Got a 5 mil farmer john wetsuit to extend the dive season so let’s hook up soon and go.

Something I saw in “In the Bite” magazine. Cut an “X” large enough to accept the rod butt, in a tennis ball. Might save the “boys” during those “crunch” times.
