Thanks

I’m partial to the boulevard diner
x2 Smoky Oaks - Thursday Steak Night, big ol GOOD ribeye, big salad, tater, nanner puddin’ - $12
Most food for the money for a lunch with the family is going to be Cibo’s at the end of harborview rd. at fort johnson rd. They’ve got pizza, pasta, salads, etc. Portions are huge for pretty cheap.
If it’s just you and your lady, I’d recommend Mondo’s.
Taco Boy on Folly is cool if you want to eat outside with a beach breeze.

Yes sir, Smokey oak is good. I love the hopped up vinegar bbq sauce they have. Their Q is really good no matter which sauce you get. Melvins has good Q and good burgers. Boulevard diner and the mustard seed are both good too. I travel to west ashley to triangle char bar, glass onion and early bird diner pretty often and they are all worth a 15 maybe 20 min drive.Early bird is open til 4 am on weekends and they have country fried steak and fried chx til then too. Early bird has a good brunch too. Glass onion is marvelous and they change the menu often. They use local meats and veggies and I dont think I have had the same thing twice there. Skibos and Cibos are both really good. Dukes BBQ is wonderful and a all you can eat buffet at that. Dukes also has very tasty fried chicken. Be ready for a nap when you leave that place. I have had good scrimp at tons of places but I like to go to pearls in west ashley and have oysters too. That place, Bretts, on Folly rd has a great burger but they have been closed. They plan on opening back up, just not sure when. There is tons of good food on and around JI. You should not have any problem with finding you something rather tasty.
It is actually Smokey Oak Taproom because of all the beers available and they are good. Dukes BBQ right on Folly Road is fine as well. Locklear’s on the Folly Pier makes for a different dinner as there just aren’t that many true waterfront eateries in the LowCountry which is a shame. And don’t forget Bowen’s Island!

Theres also a couple places in the shopping center corner of harborview and folly road where the Publix is…a irish pub/dinner and starfish(?) grill…also king street grill in the shopping center further down where burkes and food lion are. I will also have to add that we eat at Ruby Tuesdays on folly road(near the Lowes)…and their food is always good for a chain type…and salad bar is fresh and well stocked.
just noticed last wek that something called “LUCKY’S” is going in the old Applebee’s location on folly…anyone know what this is?

Heart Wood-fire Grill on Folly Rd. is opening on Wed. 12/7. It is in the old Daily Dose location. They have really fixed the spot up. We went to the soft opening last night, and it was great. They had some delicious cocktails and the food was very good. I worked with two of the owners at FIG downtown and one of them has been at Hominy Grill for the last couple of years. I hope this place becomes a great JI restaurant.
Karma is 360 degrees
I saw the Heart Wood-Fire Grill on the home last night. Gonna stop in.
