Left Shem Creek at 5:00 and headed into the waves… not a fun ride out… made 16-18 knts and lines in at 8:30 as we could take no more pounding. Fished 200’ all day. Found a great weedline about 2 miles long and 30 yards wide. It held allot of fliers. We picked at the Mahi and had a couple of hoos break off. Ended the day with 12 Mahi (8 in the 20lb range). Ride back back was at 27 knts with trailing sea. Baits of the day were anything bright colored. Brue / Green Islander, Red / Black Switch, Squid teaser was a big hit and lost a black bart to a big hoo Crew was great and even added some chum
to the spread to entice a nice double bull strike.
We saw a Longliner picking up lines in 220’. How close can they fish?
Will enjoy blackend Mahi tonight and a block party fish fry on Sat.
