Jason, I really want to thank you for coming out and talking to the club tonight. You probably know more about the subject of the MPA and proposed ARS closing that anyone else - including the members of the MARPA. (I hope I got that right)
Your talk was very enlightening, sobering and angering that the offshore fishery is so very close to being closed on unproven science and assumptions.
Captain Mark Brown, thank you also for briefly speaking and encouraging fisherman to write to our US senators and politicians and tell them how much at stake we have in keeping our fisheries open. (hint guys…don’t email them - write then hard copy letters or fax them)
If you failed to miss this meeting, at least heed Capt Brown’s & Skinneej’s advice and write to the political leaders to fight against closure of our fisheries.

That was a very informative presentation Jason. It’s obvious you put a lot of time and effort into it. I just hope that we ultimately get a handle on the situation and take reasonable measures to protect our fisheries and our economy.

As much as I would love to make some of these meetings and seminars that take place in the Charleston area, there is no way possible since I live and work in the Midlands/Piedmont area of the state and most all of these informative sessions take place during the week. It would be great if someone would record some of the sessions and offer them on DVD or something like that.
I did get to see the video of Jason on the radio talk show and it was very informative, Thanks Skinnee.
To all you guys that are at the front of this effort my hat is off to you. I have wrote the letters and sent the e-mails, I just wish I was better informed.
