Fished 226 hole sunday the 27th. Ran out at four am to a perfect ocean. It was a smooth ride out and had lines in at sunrise. Fished till 1 due to the ride back to columbia and had constant bites all day. Finished the day with 13 dolphin.
They Blocked your video man I want to see it!!!
Good job guys. But did that guy at the beginning use the gaff to beat that dolphin?

Great job, love the gaff practice!
Good Job! I’m jealous but just a little advice to the novice gaff-men. If you keep the leader low and the dolphin’s head in the water, then the fish won’t freak out. It’ll make your gaff shots a lot easier when you don’t have a moving erratically moving target. You can accomplish this by keeping the boat in gear the whole time that you’re trying to land the fish.
my mind is lost at sea…
Great job! I love dolphin fishing! I lived in Palm Beach Fl years ago and I loved catching Dolphin and sailfish. I live in Chattanooga Tn and can’t wait to move to Charleston and fish fish fish!!!
Another piece of advice to the novice gaffman. Once you finally gaff it dont try to take the hook out while the fish is still over the side of the boat lol. Get it in the boat then get the hook. Great video though!
“Good things come to those who bait”
Next time you edit and post a video, edit out those gaff shots. Awful. I’m afraid, just by watching this video, that my own techniques are now in jeopardy!
that video reminds me of this gaff training video. skip to 40 sec in the video to get tio the good stuff.

One more piece of advice to the novice gaffman. Drop the fish in the cockpit for the “bloody cockpit” money shot…
Gaff shots looked like money to me! Great video!
