4 other boats out there. I had 2 first-time offshore fisherman with me so kept it simple. 40 or so BSB so they had fun. I tried a flutter jig and they hit it very well also. I was hoping to hook a grouper or red snapper but no luck.

My daughter and I were one of the other boats at E60 yesterday (black hull 21’ CC). We rode all the way out and back from E60 at 30 mph. The action was fairly fast but most of the BSB’s were small. We only caught 1 that was the legal limit. The other 25-30 were 11"-12". Everything caught on squid. I couldn’t get anything to touch cut bait or artificials. By the way the E40 buoy is missing. Daughter had a blast mostly because of the 3 fish we kept, she caught them all.

I spoke to a fisherman back at the marine and he had about 12 or so BSB and 1 (that I could see) vermillion. He commented that they had to go out to 90’ of water before they started catching legal size fish. Wish I had some numbers for structure out that deep.

Not a single keeper in our group. K Ulmer I’m glad you had a good day out there as well. I must apologize for the rap music if you heard it. I had 5 high school seniors and 2 had never fished salt water so I played mate and let them have fun. My guys were impressed with your success
