This was our first trip offshore and we had a pretty fun day. As soon as we dropped the bait at about 6:45 we got a mahi, well…we got it to the side of the boat then lost him. This happened 3 more times in some way or another (one included my partner getting 2 reels worth of line wrapped around my prop). Our last fish came about 11:30 and we actually found a way to get this one on the boat. So first day out was a 1/5 record. If we hadn’t landed that last one I swear I think I was about to try to find a tree to run my boat into. Overall a great day, and definitely has me hooked!
