Edisto Banks 7/2

My Boss and I and MonBac and his boss went out to catch some fish. The ride out and back was great. Pulled up on Edisto Banks and we were deploying the spread and Angela (first time offshore) says “hey is that a fish?”… We quickly pulled out the spinning rods and put 5 in the boat. big slingers 8-12lbs.
Got the spread deployed and 18lb cow. Scattered weeds created a minefield. We could not keep the spead clean so we moved out to deeper water and found a large Wahoo that literally jumped out of the water and hit the bait on the way down. The estimated 92.5lb wahoo was on for about 4 minutes. Picked at the maui’s for a couple of hours and end the day with 15 up to 23lbs.
Stoped on the way back in and caught some Black Sea bass to top off the coolers.

One of the best days every with my wife, brother and his wife… Thanks

That’s a pretty good guess at the wahoos weight 92.5

grab the gaff and another cold beer

I just happened to be looking in the right spot at the right time and saw the fish come out of the water, go verticle on his way down and crush the bait on his way in the water. Absolutely the coolest site I’ve ever seen offshore. This fish was a fully grown stud for sure. When I watched the instant replay in my head and calculated length x girth x beers consumed it was every bit of 92.5lbs. In fact, now that it’s been playing over and over again in my head…it would have taken the lead in the Trident. Probably more like 96.725 lbs.:stuck_out_tongue:

If you’re not effecting the world around you in a positive manner…you’re taking up too much space.
