Edisto Banks Late Report (4/23/08)

Crew of five including my retired father from the upstate that I called around 5 on Thursday after exhausting all my options looking for a fifth person. He canned his weekend plans in about 30 min. and was on the road.

Arrived early to the ledge to find cold 71, pulled a few baits looking and picked at a few dolphin while looking for the wahoo. No takers on the wire or planner rod except a small donkey. Pushed offshore to find a little bait, scattered grass, and 75 in about 380 feet of water. Found a few more dolphin and lost a wahoo that hit a pink and white rigged with mono.

Color of the day was green and yellow.

This was my first trip offshore this year, although we didn’t crush, had a great time with said crew.

Ended the day with 8, one big sucker, and a donkey. I’m sure we lost atleast that many.
