Decided to give trolling one more try this year in hopes of wahoo and sushi. Trip met the wife’s criteria for coming along with forecast of one foot seas or less and one of the kids on board. Trolled the ledge from 7:45 until 12. First five fish, one blackfin and four Bonita/little tunny all hit the cedar plug. Caught a couple of blackfin and a bunch of Bonita pretty consistently early and then slowed. Got a nice surprise when the smallest sailfish I have ever seen hit the way back line and one of our guests got their first billfish. Spent the second half of the day bottom fishing in 100ft. Lots of triggers and vermillion and a few BSBs. Back in Edisto at 5. Got to watch the sunrise and sunset from the boat. Flat calm all day. Nice to get a late year bonus trip in.
Would not let me post all pics. Do tknow how to make file smaller.
Take that trip any day. Awesome little sailfish.

Is that bill broken on that sailfish? Seems like an odd angle there.
Glad to see ya’ll had a good day, great picts! thanks for shareing
Bill not broken although I was waiting for that comment when I posted the pic. Fish was still pretty hot and thrashing around so I snapped a bunch of photos before removing the hook and releasing, and that was the best one.
Thanks for the informative post and looks like a great, safe day.
Nice report and day. That new boat seems to be treating you well. Glad to see some boats made it out this past weekend.
