Edisto banks/Weed line

Pops and I made the late run around 7:30 Saturday morning to the Edisto banks. Didn’t take to long to get there with the seas being a lake. Put lines in the water at 9 and trolled around 2 hours. No luck. We decided to push further off shore where we found a beautiful weed line. Put lines in the water and in no time had a knock down. 50-60 pound class wahoo was put in the coffin. Went slow after that until around 4:30-5:00. That’s when the mahi started to get hungry. Left and right out rigger went down, double!!! Then the center rod went down triple!!! Somehow my pops and I managed to put all of them in the box. Made several more passes through and put it to them. We put another 7 in the box. All of the dolphin were 15-20 pounds. Considering it was just my pops and I made for a good job of shucking weeds the rest of the day. Finished the day with 10 dolphin and a big whoo. Good to be back on the water.

Man that’s great. A beautiful day fishing and you get to do it with your dad. It doesn’t get any better than that.
