Went to the banks yesterday, batted less than .500 with 3 gaffer dolphin and 1 wahoo making into the box. At least one nice wahoo burned the reel up to break off, never turned him. Probably 8 fish lost without an easy thing to blame. Lots of wire broken and a few lost to the circus.
Seas were choppy. Everything we caught was on a dark color and had some depth to it, no strikes on top at all. Had a nice weed line at about 170’ that produced nothing. All fish were a little east of the spot and were on the upper side of 69degF. Found some water that was 70+ and had a triple hook up to only land two of the dolphin. Made the box look a little better.
